Inland Truck & Equipment is supporting wildfire relief and recovery efforts across British Columbia through two fundraising initiatives focused on helping affected residents, businesses, and communities.
Inland has donated $25,000 to BC Business for the Okanagan, joining Kirmac Collision and Auto Glass and Lordco Auto Parts in an initial combined donation of $50,000. Inland has also launched a campaign supporting the Canadian Red Cross 2026 British Columbia Wildfires Appeal and will match public donations up to $25,000.
Together, these efforts bring Inland’s potential direct contribution to wildfire relief to $50,000.
Supporting Okanagan Communities
BC Business for the Okanagan is a business-led fundraising initiative organized by Gibson Media Works in partnership with the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen, the Central Okanagan Foundation, and the Community Foundation North Okanagan.
Funds raised through the initiative will be distributed locally through the three community foundations, helping direct support to Okanagan communities affected by the wildfires.
The 2026 wildfire season has caused widespread damage and displacement across the region. Residents have lost homes, thousands have faced evacuation orders and alerts, and local businesses and community services have experienced major disruption.
“BC businesses are deeply connected to the communities where we live and work. We have an opportunity to step up for our neighbours when they need us,” said Brian Gibson, founder of Gibson Media Works and organizer of BC Business for the Okanagan.
With branches and employees throughout British Columbia, Inland has close ties to many of the communities affected. Inland employees, customers, business partners, and their families live and work across the province, including throughout the Okanagan.
Matching donations to the Canadian Red Cross
Inland has also created a dedicated fundraising campaign for the Canadian Red Cross 2026 British Columbia Wildfires Appeal.
Through the campaign, Inland will match every dollar donated, up to $25,000, with a shared fundraising goal of $50,000. The Canadian Red Cross will also double-match eligible donations, further increasing the impact of each contribution.
Donations to the appeal support relief, recovery, resilience, and preparedness work. Funds may also help the Canadian Red Cross mobilize personnel and resources while working with Indigenous leadership and community partners to assist people affected by wildfires across British Columbia.
Inland employees, customers, suppliers, and members of the public are invited to donate. Each eligible contribution made through Inland’s campaign will be matched dollar for dollar until the company’s $25,000 matching limit is reached.
Standing with British Columbia
Wildfire recovery will continue long after evacuation orders are lifted. Families will need support as they return home or begin rebuilding, while businesses and community organizations work to restore local services.
Through its donation to BC Business for the Okanagan and its Canadian Red Cross matching campaign, Inland Truck & Equipment is helping provide both local and province-wide assistance.
Inland encourages businesses and individuals across British Columbia to contribute in whatever way they can.
